You've got questions, we've got answers

We know smaller is better, we aim to keep our groups no larger than 10 people. Depending on the group you may have 1 or 2 dedicated facilitators leading the group.

Studies show that peer support is an invaluable tool for mental health recovery and healing.  Group therapy can help people who feel alone in their struggles, connecting them with others who understand.

It’s also a more affordable option than traditional therapy sessions.

At Sound Mind we take your privacy and confidentiality seriously. All group sessions are conducted in HIPAA secure, confidential environments, and we enforce strict privacy protocols to ensure that what’s shared within the group stays within the group. Your trust is our priority, and we are committed to safeguarding your personal information every step of the way.

Our psychoeducation groups run for 10 weeks at a time, while our support groups are ongoing.

Our group therapy program consists of weekly hour long sessions that offer peer support, coping skills building, or DBT training. These groups can be standalone or paired with individual therapy, they’re for people who just need a little more support.

Our Intensive Group Programming is just that, Intensive. It consists of attending 6-9 weekly hour long group sessions plus 1 individual session and 1 family or couples session. This program is for people needing a significant support, for instance, those who are experiencing suicidal thoughts, self-harm, severe depression or anxiety, a new diagnosis of borderline personality disorder, grief, or severe PTSD. The intensive program is 10 weeks long. Cost is $750 per week with sliding scale available.

Currently this program is cash pay only, with an anticipated insurance acceptance of June 2025. We are in the process of becoming Joint Commission Accredited.
